Intro to Computer Science with Java

[CORE 4a]

Intermediate • Recommended Age: 13+

This is our core introductory high school-level course in computer science, taught in Java. Students learn through hour-long lectures including notes on new concepts and demo projects. Although students still focus on making fun projects alongside graded problem sets, they may find it beneficial to attend our student help hours to cement their skills. After 6 months - 1 year of our classes students will be coding at a college level.

Computer Science and Application

[CORE 4b]

Intermediate • Recommended Age: 13+

[CORE 4b] teaches computer science through Java in a lecture format, including notes on new concepts and demo projects. Students practice their skills in graded problem sets and many find it beneficial to attend homework help sessions to cement their skills. After this class most students are ready for our college-paced coursework.

Algorithms and Problem Solving in Java

[CORE 5a]

Intermediate • Recommended Age: 13+

[CORE 5a] teaches students computer science through Java at an early university level. Students learn through hour-long lectures and weekly graded homework. Most students will find it necessary to to attend our student help hours for help. After about a year students will be well-prepared for the AP Computer Science exam.

Object Oriented Programming in Java

[CORE 5b]

Intermediate • Recommended Age: 13+

[CORE 5b] covers Advanced Placement and college-level computer science in Java. Students learn to use a professional development environment for in-class demos alongside weekly graded homework assignments. Most students find it necessary to attend student help hours for help with the homework. After this course, most students are ready for USACO courses or AP exam prep.
